Abstract (EN)
Compound words are among the elements in our language that enrich the word presence. Compound words come into being by bringing together at least two lambs of different senses or structures in accordance with the grammatical features of our language. It is important to know the topics such as how vocabulary that gives different meanings and offers a rich expression possibility, sound events that occur during the unification of the words, root of the words that make up the compound word, what kind of word group they come together in, It is a great convenience for researchers who are researching compound words. In this study, the vocabulary of the words, origin, root and words forming the compound word were searched by combining the words in the Turkish dictionary of the Turkish Language Institute. As a result, they do not come together as if they are words that make up a unified word. They merge within certain rules and patterns. In our study, the origin and type of the words that make up the conjunctive word are mentioned and it is conveyed to which word groups these words come together. The words have been classified according to the sound events they were involved in. In addition, during the formation of the compound word, the meaning of the words in the compound word is transferred. It is aimed that this study will guide the students who research on compound word. Key Words: Compound words, noun phrase, compound verbs, adjective, adverb
