Abstract (EN)
One of the most important factors of the development is undoubtedly, the industrialization. Today, as an input of industrialization energy is substantially achieved from non-renewable fosil resources and this leads to the sustainability of the development problem by causing environmental issues and also puting a livable environment in danger for future generations. Renewable energy resources which are domestic, environmentally friendly and unlimited sources in meeting today's increasing enegy needs, provides a sustainable environment while contributing to the country's economy. In this study, firstly the relationship between sustainable development and renewable energy sources is examined. The contribition of the use of renewable energy sources to the sustainable development in Turkey and Germany is discussed. The comparison is made between Turkey and Germany in this respect.
