Trade relations between Turkey and United States of America after 1990

Today, it is necessary to have a competence which can realize its interests by producing policies in the field of economics in order to have an effective power in the international platform. For this purpose, states are trying to achieve their goals through dual and multiple agreements. Relations with Turkey - USA, After World War II, Turkish foreign policy was one of the most important topics. After the declaration of Truman Doctrine in 1947 and Turkey's entry into NATO in 1952, significant progress has been made in the fields of political, economic and military cooperation between the two countries, and a significant part of Turkey's foreign policy decisions during the Cold War has been shaped by the direct or indirect impact of the United States. In this context, the most important agenda items of Turkish foreign policy within the framework of relations with the United States are evaluated. There are undoubtedly internal and external factors affecting relations with the United States. The aim of this study is to examine the Turkish-American political relations after 1990 and to reveal the results of the trade relations. After 1990, commercial relations between Turkey and USA were examined by the relevant literature and doctrine. The development and the exchange of trade relations between Turkey and United States have also accelerate depending on the increase of the trade between bilateral and multilateral national and international structures with globalization. Political and military elements have played and important role in the historical development of trade between countries. This study, will contribute to the comprehension of the factors that affects relations by analyzing the historical development of commercial relations between Turkey-US after the 1990s.
