Support and incentives given to the railway freight transportation sector in Turkey and Europe

For Turkey to play an active role in transportation between China and Europe, it is necessary first to improve and develop the existing railway infrastructure, ensure intermodal integration by establishing railway connections to ports, logistics centers, and Organized Industrial Zones, and increase the participation of the private sector. This thesis mainly discusses how railway transport is supported and encouraged in Turkey and the Europe. Then, in the conclusion and suggestions section, incentives for investors and transporters to increase railway transport and railway investments in Turkey are included.
