The problems of woman workers in banking sector in Turkey: The Çanakkale example

This report stands for the problems of women in their labour life based on their socialcondition. The first hypothesis of the report is based on; home and family responsibilitiesgiven to women causes them to stay as the second person in labour and organization life. Thesecond hypothesis is based on existent of the distinction applications through women?s labourlife.In the first part of the research, firstly the position of women?s employment in theWorld and Turkey is taken in hand. Secondly the national and international frame thatregulates the conditions of women labour life is presented.In the second part, firstly the structure of banking sector, the general properties ofwomen employment in the sector; the problems that women face in labour life, specially inbanking sector; solution offerings for prevention of defined distinctions is presented.Secondly, attendance of women workers to unions, the condition in banking sector and thesolution offerings to improve the attendance of women has been tried to be explained.In third part, a survey report applied to women employee in banking sector inÇanakkale is attached. The data derived from survey report is analyzed by SPSS; regular andcross tables has been formed. By these tables, the relation between the attendance of womanto employment and unionization and the social roles is exhibited.
