Abstract (EN)
This thesis focuses on how individuals express themselves through fashion. In public spaces the most easy way of communicating is through an obvious image instead of intangible values. Individuals used to dress according to their castes but now within the fast progress of technology we can observe that individuals are creating their own identities. In parallel with consumption, fashion assures obtaining an identity but it's natural structure of constant change brings along the loss of identity. With the purpose of being different and the fear of being left out, the individuals are not concerned about their own qualities and are identified by their material products. Therefore to be able to stay out of the pop culture that is created by the population of consumers, an individual would have to have a clear vision, a good deal of effort and conscience. This aspect of my studies firstly examines how communication mediates the rage of apparel. In the consumption society we live in the adventures of individuals who deny being a part of the pop culture is aimed to be photographed through using visual sociology.
