Evaluation in terms of different variables of Turkish postgraduate thesis on bryophytes (liverworts, hornworts and mosses)

Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this thesis study is to analyze the postgraduate theses on bryophytes (mosses, liverworts and hornworts) in Turkey in terms of different variables. The data source of the study is the master's and doctoral theses uploaded to the national thesis center of the Council of Higher Education. As a result of the examination of the theses, it was determined that the most graduate theses related to bryophytes were made at Ankara University with 23 units, 77.5% of the graduate studies were master's theses and 22.5% were doctoral theses. When the distribution of those who completed postgraduate education was examined according to their gender, it was determined that 53% of them were women and 47% were men. It has been found that the universities where research on bryophytes is conducted are mostly in Ankara, theses consist of an average of 128 pages, 80% of them have open access, and the most commonly used keywords are karayosunu, flora, Turkey, Bryophyta, liverwort, bryophyte, karayosunu heavy metal and biomonitor.
