Abstract (EN)

In this research, it is aimed to investigate the teaching status of Social Studies history, economy, law, philosophy, geography, and media literacy in terms of skills and values included in the social studies curriculum (2018) in children's universities in Turkey within the scope of 21st century skills. In this study, document analysis, one of the data collection tools of the qualitative research method, was used. In the study, firstly, 21st century skills were introduced, and their importance was emphasized. Information about children's universities in the world and in Turkey, which is the other dimension of the study, is given. Studies on history, economy, law, philosophy, geography, and media literacy, which are included in the Social Studies Course curriculum in children's universities in Turkey, have been researched. In this context, evaluations and suggestions were made regarding the teaching of skills and values in the Social Studies Course curriculum in the context of 21st century skills in Children's Universities, which is one of the out-of-school education environments.
