Abstract (EN)

Cartoons are the programs which reflect modern and traditional values of the country where it is produced. Children can acquire the unity of the geography where they live and the awareness of social values or language, manner and genre via cartoons that they watch. That's why, contents which improve children's moral values fictions in cartoons that is prepared, contribute children to use target language, concretize the difficult concepts, contain sedulity, cooperativeness, cooperation, should be carefully considered. Children achieve multiple perspective through those cartoons they watch from TV and observe many behavior patterns. Types appearing in cartoons have a great importance in among behavior patterns. In the study, types published cartoons in public TV channel and those types' features of psychological, physical, society are analyzed. Besides, origin value that appear in cartoons and relationships between Turkish lesson theme and cartoons are researched. In the study, content analysis method which is one of the qualitative research methods is used. Cartoons, which are randomly selected or are periodically watched, are recorded. The fictions of the recorded cartoons are written and types, origin values and themes and explained by indicating as a chart. According to the data, types in 8-12 age rank have similar psychological and physical behaviors whereas foreign types and native types are different from each other in terms of social behaviors. Negative types are surpassed by positive types. It is observed that origin values take part in the cartoons. It is identified that fiction in cartoons and Turkish lesson themes are connected.
