Abstract (EN)

The newly established Republic of Turkey, Atatürk in knowledge and science in Western civilization to attempted capture by the Ottomans in line with the idea of renewal of the educational institutions were studied. İn this context, more emphasis on the presence of the most controversial institution was Darülfünun.Made during the republican debate on higher education reform and to redress the basis of a foreing scientist Darülfünun?un (Albert Malche) consisted of the appointment. Another issue discussed most of the teacher working at the newly opened University of İstanbul Darülfünun be accepted and replace them with foreing teachers have been preferable. This is because of the election period, managers were accused of giving political decision. First, in order to meet to needs of the country?s engineers, Istanbul Tecnical University was founded.Although discussions of why the Turkish higher education, university reform was made after this period has shown a rapid growth phase. First, in order to meet to needs of the country?s engineers, Istanbul Tecnical University was founded in 1944. İstanbul Tecnical University in Turkey in 1946 after the establishment of LaW No. 4936 also known as the reform of the second university was established in Ankara University.Key Words: Madrasah, Ataturk, Darulfunun, Medrese, University Reform, İstanbul University, İstanbul Tecnical University, Ankara University.
