Kastamonu trips Of The Presidents Of Turkish Republic

The subject of this study is the trips of the presidents of the Turkish Republic to Kastamonu. This study includes the presidents of the Turkish Republic visiting Kastamonu, the reason for which they visited Kastamonu, the information about the trips and political, social, cultural, educational, and economical situation of those days. The study is important because it explains the events of thosse periods, sheds light to the past and the history of Kastamonu, and contributes to the near future of Kastamonu and to conductinf the social and economic plans about Kastamonu. Among the presidents, Mustafa Kemal Paşa, İsmet İnönü, Celal Bayar, Cevdet Sunay, Kenan Evren and Abdullah Gül visited Kastamonu. During their visits, the presidents examined the city centre and the towns and paid attention to the problems of the public. This study provides an overall information of all the visits of the presidents to Kastamonu from 1923 to 2015.
