Abstract (EN)
Automotive brands, technology companies and countless companies from the IT sector are working on autonomous vehicle technologies. Studies are carried out on the introduction of autonomous vehicle technologies, the potential created by technology, its impact on humans and the problems that may arise. It is expected that the effect of vehicles with autonomous driving technology on transportation will increase day by day, reaching the majority in land transportation and transportation without driver. Today, self-driving vehicles are not available in the market. Autonomous technologies are there to increase driver comfort, not to take full control of the ride. In the near future, vehicles will not require driver intervention and even the driver will not need to look at the road while driving. Due to the increasing demands for safety, efficiency and comfort in automobiles and transportation systems, the importance of autonomous vehicle technology, which is defined as the technology of the future, is increasing exponentially day by day. For this reason, in this thesis study, it is aimed to give information about autonomous vehicles, to determine the autonomous levels of existing vehicles in Turkey and to predict the future by using data sets and questionnaires.
