Abstract (EN)
Founded by Yasar Nabi Nayir, the Varlik magazine is a national treasure and a service to Turkish Literature. The magazine, besides serving literature purposes, has been a road map for the Republic of Turkey. Varlik magazine has been a home and school for many Turkish literates to further their education and careers. Writes of Varlik magazine, by taking on many of the social and political issues, have been able to continue its publishing. This work will examine Varlik Magazine, a cultural and literate treasure, which had great influence on the Turkish literature. The work will include examination of the 3 military coupes of which were Coupe of May 27, 1960, Coupe of September 12, 1980 and the attempted Coupe of Jul 15, 2016. In the study, the relationship between the media and democracy was examined through the articles published and examined in the magazine. Primary purpose of this study is to further examine effects of political events, especially the coups on daily lives and on art life.
