Sociological analysis of the women's murder in Turkey

Women killings both in Turkey and in the world, is a major social problem that goes back to the roots of the old. It is known that there are many reasons for the occurrence of women murders. The most important of these reasons is violence. Violence is at the center of women's murders and violence against women. For this reason, it has to be associated with violence when investigating women's murders. Violence against women on the basis of gender inequality causes violence against women, and the most extreme and last point of violence against women is female murders. The murders of women, which are frequently spoken in the public and in the print media, which do not fall out of the agenda due to their negative effects on society, make it necessary to review social dynamics. Studies on this issue remain limited due to the limited information about women's murders and the difficulty of accessing information. In this study, examining the murders of women in Turkey from sociological perspective, women with murder and is intended to contribute to studies about to be reduced to some extent the women's murders. In addition, based on the concepts and theoretical knowledge about women's murders, the sociological factors underlying women's murders have been explained. In the study, the data and evaluations of the women murders that took place in the written media are included. In the study, however, the method of examining the written documents used in qualitative research was used. The data collected were obtained from written documents consisting of books, master's and doctoral theses, articles and tables, and data from the internet. Based on the data obtained from the documents, the subject of the study was explained and the data became meaningful. In addition, the subject was tried to be presented in a realistic way with the numerical data discussed in the study. According to the results of the study, individual and social reasons affect the formation of violence. Women are exposed to physical, economic, psychological and sexual violence. Women's murders and gender inequality are found in every society and in every period. Economic, family, educational, cultural, psychological and social psychological factors have a great influence on the occurrence of women's murders. In women's murders, the perpetrators are mostly from the close circle of the woman. Written media contains news about women's murders. There are difficulties in obtaining data on female murders.
