Analysing violence spiral around Kurdish issue in Turkey in axis of Galtung's approaching to conflicts methodology

In this dissertation, situation of Kurdish Issue in Turkey in 2018 is analyzed according to Galtung's approaching to conflicts methodology. After Galtung's approach is explained, dimensions of Kurdish Issue –Kurdish Issue, Logic of Solution, Political Dimension, Social Dimension, Cultural Dimension, Economic Dimension, Security Dimension- are studied. Kurdish Issue's legitimate-illegitimate points are highlighted based on Galtung's basic needs –security, food&shelter, health, education, love/belonging, dignity, self-fulfillment-. Kurdish Issue in the thesis is studied how Kurdish Issue is evolved since first act of PKK in August 15, 1984. Denial was renounced in 1990s and Kurd entity is accepted. Many rights were given to Kurds in 2000s especially during right ascension. These are come to the fore about political dimension on Kurdish Issue: While Kurdist and PKK's derivatives groups are insisting on KCK/Democratic Autonomy which will be resulted separatism, Kurds' and generally Turk Nation's need is get powerful local administrations. In this context, local administrations are got powerful. In social dimension; backwardness about education and health issues in Eastern Anatolia Region and South-eastern Anatolia Region are more than other regions. Priority must be given to the regions and improvements must be provided in all country. Being a matter of cultural dimension, all requests are provided except total education in mother tongue and Kurdish official language. In economic dimension, there is positive discrimination in Eastern Anatolia Region and South-eastern Anatolia Region via KDRP, KÖYDES, SODES, BELDES, Compensation law and Cazibe Merkezleri Programı. In security dimension, PKK's disarmament or PKK's broom finishing via draining operation are problems. If operations since July 2015 will be successful, PKK can be broom finished. In the end, Kurdish issue is closer to positive peace although not completely solved.
