Abstract (EN)
Social media offers many advantages for non-governmental organizations(NGO). However, NGOs must reflect and express themselves to target audience correctly in this environment. At this point, corporate identity is noteworthy. In this work, Facebook and Twitter accounts of foundations and associations, having official social media accounts in Turkey, have been examined. Social media is discussed in the framework of corporate identity elements. In this framework, it was tried to determine foundations and associations' purpose, frequency and way of use social media. Additionally factors of corporate identity were examined in terms of soft and hard components. In this work, descriptive model was used and datas were evaluated by content analysis method. Findings show that vast majority of foundations and associations used Facebook more actively. Besides, it was determined that foundations and associations mostly used soft components in both social media accounsts
