An evaluation of the programmes in the institutions of the higher religious education in respect of teacher training

This study is an attempt to estimate and evaluate the programmes in the instituations of higher religious education before 1982 and the current ones in the Divinity Faculties in which prospect teachers of religious education are trained. This research tried to use survey method, and take advantage of the questionnaires which were applied ameng the teching stoff and the students of Divinity Faculties (in Turkey), teachers of religion. The introduction deals with aim, importance, comprehensiveness and method of this study. The first chapter examines the importance of teacher; the latest programmes of »medrese"; and the programmes of the institutions of higher religious education in the (Turkish) Republic Period. The second chapter tries to analyse current situation and some problems of education and to comment data which were collected from teaching stuff, teachers and students. The third chapter includies the conclusion of this study, and two methods which were developed.
