Abstract (EN)

In the recent years, studies on the climatological series have increased in the world. Most of these studies were performed by using temperature data. As a result of these studies, the importance of the climate-shaping effect was emphasized on the climate. In this study, in order to identify trends in the sea surface temperature in Turkey, the data of the measurement station of 22 centigrade degree seawater temperature are used. When determining the stations, their location was taken into consideration to represent the region in general and the recording length was found suitable for the study. When the monthly, annual and seasonal tendency values of the identified stations are analyzed, it is found that there is an increasing trend in the most of the stations When the monthly trends were examined, an increase trend was observed in 98% of the stations for five months. Annual trends also increased by 86.3%. In the seasonal trend, the highest trend values were observed in summer, autumn and winter seasons. As a result of the correlation test; values of the sea surface water temperature and value of North Atlantic Oscillation were found to be a low level of weak correlation. In this study, guiding the climatological studies carried out in Turkey has an important place in terms of being a source. In addition, it is an important research that can be used to establish a relationship between other climate parameters affecting change of the seawater temperature.
