Turkish maritime sector status, problems and proposals for the solutions

In this study, in the light of current economic indicators and statistical data, by analysing The Turkish maritime sector, was conducted solutions to existing problems and measures that can be taken.However, based on the fact that the shipping industry and the global economy are inseparable and directly affect each other, it was needed an economic analysis before analysis of the sector.In the first and the second episode, Global and Turkish Economy and Maritime Sector detailed analysis made by inputs which is obtained from several sources and reveal some projections to the future. In the context of this analysis, periodic Platou Reports, IMF data, Turkish Chamber of Shipping publications and Ministry of transportation, maritime affairs and communications reports and other Ministrys reports reviewed.. The links between economic indicators in the study with the sector, in particular, have been emphasized.In the third episode, sector troubles which are listed in the economic or sector congress and Ministrys future plans or Turkish Chamber of Shipping reports and their proposals for solutions is asserted.In consequence section, Turkish Maritime Sector evaluated generally, and it was made some recommendations for the next years.
