Languages in Turkey

Turkey has been the geography and the countries where The Turkish people have ruled dominantly today. It is the name of the Turkish Republic State. There are various ethnic groups and languages in Turkey but due to the different definitions of the concept of ?ethnicity? there have found many different ethnic groups and languages as a result of each research. The basic measures for the determination of the ethnic groups has been ?descendants language and belief? in that research. According to this information the main ethnic groups determined in Turkey are Arabics, Albanians, Bosnians, Armenians, Çerkezes, Gürcüs, Hamshenis, Curdishes, Lazs, Pomaks, Romans, Rums, Assyrlans, Jewishes and Zazas. The Turkish has been defined? not as a kind of ethnic group but as the citizens of the Turkish Republic which has a political and legal dimensions.It is possible to define the living languages in Turkey as the legal language/state language local languages and the minority languages Apart from these languages there are the monter-tongues of the people belonging to different nationalities living in Turkey.However these languages have been accepted as the ?guest language? The most spoken mother-tongues together with Turkish are as the following; Turkish, Arabic, Albanish, Bosnian, Armenian, Circassian, Georgian, Hamshenian, Kurdish, Lazuri, Pomak language, Romany, Zazaish, Greek, Syriac, Ladino to the result of the 1965 General Census datum the mother-tongue of the %90 people living in Turkey is Turkish.
