Abstract (EN)
In this study, metal concentration levels (Cd, Co, Cr, Ni and Pb) were observed in the gill, hepatopancreas, ovary, testis and mantle for male and female cuttlefish Sepia officinalis in various stations (İskenderun, Antalya, Kaş, Gazipaşa ve Anamur) in Mediterranean coasts. Hepatopancreas tissue was a better indicator heavy metal concentration compared to other tissues. Heavy metal accumulation for male was found more than female while Cd and Ni accumulation was found higher in the female. There was a relationship among the metals such as Co > Pb >Ni > Cd > Cr in the mantle tissue. Pb metal value of Anamur, Antalya and İskenderun stations were found over the limits.
