Özet (EN)

The thesis studies the education level of the Turkish companies that export goods to India. The thesis utilizes the Turkish-Indian trade at large and argues that India is an emerging big market with a growing number of qualified consumers. However, there is an imbalance between the Turkish and Indian shares of the overall trade stakes that stress the lack of the notion of parity between the two countries in this case. Therefore, the thesis advocates that the poor level of foreign trade education in the Turkish companies is one of the reasons for this poor performance. On this point, this study summarizes the development of the contemporary Turkish Foreign Trade policy, studies the dynamics and the regulations of the Indian foreign trade, and explains the foreign trade relations between the two countries to form a background for the subject. The study discovers the quality of foreign trade education-training in Turkey by using the date gathered from a survey performed on 50 personnel working for commercial business enterprises. Eventually, the thesis aims at utilizing the data in enhancing the quality of education in the Turkish-Indian trade. Finally, the thesis concludes that there are areas that need improvement in the foreign trade education of the companies that export goods to India, such as language training, postgraduate training ( on foreign trade) and the receptivity of the education by the company employees.
