Abstract (EN)
Millions of teachers needed to have competencies about how they would use digital technological tools, conduct a course design, communicate sufficiently and efficiently with students and manage them in COVID 19 Pandemic urging instruction modes from face to face to distance in the world. The goal of this study was to examine the extent to what online teachers in both Turkey and the world gave importance to online teaching competencies and the extent to what they had these competencies in COVID 19 process. Furthermore, it was researched whether online teaching competencies' levels changed according to demographic information. Descriptive survey design was used in this study. Online Turkish and English questionnaire developed by the researcher was utilized to get data in the study. The participants of the study consisted of a total of 606 teachers from Turkey and the world. According to the results of this study, it was found that teachers gave higly importance to online teaching competencies and teachers generally conducted these competencies. It was understood that teachers' level of giving importance to online teaching competencies and having these competences didn't become different in demographic information like gender, age, school sector, completed degree. Conversely, it was attained that teachers' level of giving importance to online teaching competencies and having these competencies had significantly differences in demographic information such as continent, teacher's seniority, school type.
