Examination of graduate theses made in the field of educational program in Turkey (1985-2021)

In this research, it is aimed to examine the postgraduate theses (master's, doctorate, proficiency in art, specialization in medicine) on the Education Program between 1985-2021 in Turkey depending on various variables and to contribute to the studies of the education program. While the research was conducted using qualitative research method, document analysis technique was used as a data collection tool. The graduate studies that are the subject of the research were reached by searching the word "educational program" from the thesis center of YÖK. The sample of the research consists of 727 studies, including 410 master's theses, 310 doctoral theses, 6 specialization in medicine and 1 proficiency in art. 727 postgraduate studies subject to the research were analyzed by descriptive analysis method, by type, year, university, institute, department, subject, research method, research model and design, data collection tools, sample size, data source, consultant title, researcher gender, writing language. and analyzed according to the number of pages. In line with the data obtained; It has been concluded that there are more graduate studies, education program studies are the most in Gazi University, the data source is more students, there are studies in different departments and subjects, there are more female researchers working and there are more professors with the title of professor. As a result of all this study, it is suggested that studies on education programs should be studied in more disciplines and that the focus of research should be spread to wider audiences without being limited to students and educators.
