Abstract (EN)
In this study, an energy performance evaluation of 25 member states of EU, Norway, Switzerland, Croatia and Turkey, a candidate country, regarding sectoral energy consumption was conducted by using data envelopment analysis in order to allow us to draw up a good energy policy in the future. Analysis of the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Malmquist Index (MI) approach is used. DEA, with multiple input and output decision making units (CVS), a technique used to measure the relative performance is. Analysis, Charnes et al [1] was developed by the DEA-way model (CCR model and BCC model), scale efficiency values were used. Determining the effectiveness, energy data between 1998-2006 from the European Union Statistics (EUROSTAT) was used as received. Sectoral energy consumption of primary energy indicators as inputs and gross domestic product (GDP) is used as output variables (Model 1). Also with another model developed in recent years has become the main energy indicators of energy intensity, total factor productivity accounts for Malmquist Index approach was determined by using (Model 2). According to the results obtained by Turkey to the EU countries to convert the output of primary energy input excluding the year 2000 the country was found to be effective. According to the results of energy-intensive exchanges with a total factor productivity increase Turkey is a country.
