Structuring strategic planning model for managing internal migration problem in cities of Türkiye which are exposed to internal migration

Each day the need for finding effective and workable solutions to internal migration problem whose effects increase noticeably, have been expressed in different platforms for many years. In this respect, there is a need for extensive research that analyzes the problem of internal migration with different aspects. This study aims to develop an effective decision making systematic in the management of internal migration process in Türkiye. In this context, the decision makers have gain a systematic perspective and methodical infrastructure support by the help of this study to fight with irregular migration.In order to achieve these goals, the Proposal for Strategic Planning Model (MIGRATION-SPM TÜRKİYE) was developed in relation with SWOT analysis factors and migration prevention strategies of the city which has been exposed to migration. In the model, SWOT-ANP constituted with the integrated method of ANP which is one of the multiple criteria decision making techniques of SWOT analysis was used. The developed model, applied to city of Zonguldak which is exposed to migration. In this study, the factors in question have been prioritized by identifing aspect of strengths, aspect of weaknesses, the opportunities, the threats and migration prevention strategies of the city. The work plan is presented as future implementation plan to all cities which are exposed to migration with reference to this practice for Zonguldak.
