Investigation of the relationship between confidence indices and sector indices in Turkey

In recent years, it has been revealed by the researches that the perception that producers and consumers determine their economic behavior only according to their benefit and loss status is insufficient to explain their economic behavior, and that economic decisions are also dependent on psychological factors. Confidence indices are the leading indicators that determine the effects of these psychological factors. In this research, the relationship between TÜİK confidence indices and selected 12 BIST sector indices for the periods 2011: 1-2019: 12 was examined. Since the series are stationary at the same level, granger causality and engle-granger cointegration analysis are applied.
