An analysis of the lessons conducted by and the employment status of in service music teachers working at fine arts and sport high school in Turkey

The purpose of this research is to point out that how the conducting lessons and the employment status of in service Music Teachers working at Fine Arts and Sport High School in Turkey. The qualitative data in research was mostly obtained via literature review and the quantitative data was obtained through a questionnaire administered to the teachers and the tables related to the lessons administered to the headmasters. Questionnaire and tables were analysed with SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) program for Windows 11.5.The population of the study are Music Departments of Fine Arts and Sport High School in Turkey. The sample of the study are;Diyarbakır Fine Arts and Sport High School, Şanlıurfa FASHS, Van FASHS, Erzurum FASHS, Sinop FASHS, Ereğli FASHS, Antalya FASHS, Osmaniye FASHS, Kırşehir FASHS, Ankara FASHS, Denizli FASHS, İzmir FASHS, İstanbul FASHS and Edirne Fine Arts and Sport High School.As a result of this study, it was determined that most of the teachers who are in service at Fine Arts and Sport High School are on the staff. It seems that most of these teachers were appointed with Piano, Violin and Flute branches. It is determined that the teachers mostly teach Musical Hearing Reading and Writing, Orchestra and Piano lessons in addition to their branches. It was concluded that the most needed branchs are Violin and Piano in Fine Arts and Sport High Schools.
