Özet (EN)
The media, and especially television, can affect people's worldview and shape their way of thinking and behavior. The news transmission, which was once dominated by the newspaper, now takes place predominantly on television. In Turkey, especially in television broadcasting, tabloidization has increased in recent years. In this study, the effect of tabloidization on the news value of television journalism in Turkey has been examined. In the study, it is aimed to determine the newsworthy corruption and tabloidization and to embody how it happened through selected examples. In addition, it was investigated whether there is a significant difference between private channels and public broadcasting. In the study, three national television channels (TRT 1, FOX TV and Show TV) were selected as the research unit and a qualitative content analysis was made on the main news bulletins of these channels.
