Abstract (EN)

Social welfare is one of the most important social policy tools which are used to prevent inequalities between sections and individuals via in kind and in cash welfare. It is important to whom and according to what criterias social welfare is going to be given, evaluating the social and economic statues of the people who needs social welfare is important in terms of measuring to what extent social welfare is useful. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of social and economic factors of household such as age, gender, marital status education by benefitting from the set of micro data of Household Budget Survey done by Turkey Statistical Institution with the method of quantile regression. Important findings obtained as a result of econometric analysis; It is concluded that women receive more social benefits than men and single individuals receive more benefits that married people.
