Özet (EN)
Airports are the smallest human areas with the maximum variety of functions that can be geographically analyzed in a region. In this study, the factors that affect the location of the airports were examined and the effects of the airports on the environment after the establishment of the airports were evaluated. In the study, while the topographic analyzes were generally observed in the airports, the effect of elevation and rugged area around the airport was tried to be minimized with the construction direction of the runway. Fog, wind, rain and snow are the climatic factors that affect air transport. It is observed that snow and fog factors are the most effective weather events in the airports examined in our country. Wind and rain are less effective on airway transport. Iğdır Şehit Bülent Aydın, Muş, Hatay and İstanbul Airports are experiencing hydrographic problems. While there is not enough interest in air transportation in cities where transportation facilities are developed in our country, more attention has been paid to recent air transportation especially in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Regions where transportation is difficult. Another important factor that may prevent long-term use of airports is to remain within the city. There are airports within the city in our country. When the transportation time to the city centers is examined, it is seen that most of the airports are not established at the appropriate distance.
