Özet (EN)
This study analyzes how political, economic, social and cultural relations between Turkey and Israel developed and took shape between 1948-2002 and seeks an answer to the question of why Turkey should get closer to Israel in the Middle East. In this study, the turning points in bilateral relations are taken into consideration and are discussed under three main headings: 1948-1965, 1965-1983 and 1983-2002. While analyzing the relations, archive work, past newspapers, various local and foreign books and articles are used to reveal how the regional and international dynamics of each period affected the foreign policy and mutual relations of the two states.
