The obstacles and the solutions on female labor force participation in Turkey

Behavioral factors have an impact on the quality of labor supply. Employee tastes family positions, incomepreferences, anticipations, education and occupations, influence the labor supply. Effective use of production factors is the most important factor in achieving economic development. Gender discrimination in the use of the labor force from the educations factors leads to negatives effects on the structure of the labor market in the process of women entering the labor market and continuing their working lives in these markets. The main problems faced by the female worksforce in the labor market are in the labor intensive low-wages jobs, informel sectors and informel work. It is undeniable that sex- based discrimination, which women face when entering into their working life and working life,is a problem. Female participation at laborforce is significantly lower than male participation in Turkey. It is also remarkable that it is much lower, compared to the other countries'female participation at laborforce. It could be said that are needed for the qualitative development of the female laborforce and its placement at the laborforce market. In this study, participation of women on the labor force with theoretical backround affecting famele labor supply and opstacles to women participations in the workforce were exemined, solutıon proporsals was presentedcaktır.
