Özet (EN)

The purpose of this thesis is to do a research on the effects of Neo-Liberal health policies after 1980s on assistant health personnel. While doing this research, a general definition of health service is done in the first chapter and health systems applied around the world were examined. Another preliminary work has been done on how to categorize the health system in Turkey. The evolutions of economics have been analysed and the relationship between this and health systems have been pointed out in the first chapter as well. In the second chapter of the study emphasizes the evolution of health system in Turkey from the Turkish republic period to today. Together with the republic revolution, the practise on health care has been a part of modernisation of Turkey.The development stages of health services are at the same time parallel to the development of the Turkish modernisation. In the third and last chapter includes the study on the effects of health policies after 1980s on personnel empleyment model. The questionaire prepared on the employment of the contract personnel was done by face to face interviewing the contract personnel working at publis hospitals in İzmir. The results were taken by the data compared to the hypothesis. The effects of cotract employment model on health personnel have been analysed.Key Words: Walfare State, Neoliberalism, Globalization, the privatization of health services, reform process in health, flexibilisation, marketisation
