Özet (EN)

From emergence of surplus value concept until today, this concept had strong relationship with city, and existed as principle element that form the city, effected the historical flow of the city, and transformed the city. Any change in quality of surplus value exercised influence on cities where cities were given a different shape from the point they existed, i.e. transformed. This transformation process started with agricultural revolution, changed dimensions with industrial revolutions, and lastly took the current form with globalisation and neo-liberalism. Turkey was unable to be insignificant to such changes. As a country that followed the articulation of globally shaped neo-liberal policies after 1980s, the country reached 2000s, and from 2000s until today moved on this road with utmost speed. Therefore, due to such policies, cities were subjected to transformation. At this point, this study considered transformation of urban space in Turkey, analysed tangible space examples of this transformation within Bursa city, and presented outputs of this example. Thus, the level and path of urban space transformation will be discussed in this study.
