Turkey - TRNC relations; Cyprus Peace Operation and Eastern Mediterranean policy

The Republic of Cyprus was founded in 1960. The order of the Turkish and Greek communities living as equal peoples does not go as desired. The Turks in Cyprus are excluded from the rule of the Republic of Cyprus. Greek Cypriots want to realize the idea of 'Enosis' in Cyprus. And they engage in bloody activities against the Turks to connect the island to Greece. Attacks against Turks continue to increase in Cyprus. And the July 15 coup is carried out by EOKA. The Republic of Cyprus, one of the guarantors of the Republic of Turkey on the island layout deteriorating taking the decision to re-establish intervene. Turkey decided to intervene as getting the legal basis of the Treaty of Guarantee and Alliance showed the authority granted to Turkey. States claiming rights from the Mediterranean should do the sharing according to the specified criteria. However, some states in the Eastern Mediterranean are deliberately ignoring international law to get more shares. GKRY, Greece, Israel, Egypt, Lebanon make agreements among themselves; marine areas with Libya and then forward the TRNC, Turkey has made sınrılandır agreement.
