Özet (EN)

The present study aims to explore the source of the problems of classical ballet dancers in Turkey that emerge after the active life of dance, and to offer some solutions. Thus, the research of this study involves the examination of the training format of the art of ballet, the process of professional practice and the mechanism it is connected to. Music and performing arts institutions in Turkey are managed with state support. The Ministry of Culture has undertaken this function in Turkey. Opera-ballet establishments are affiliated with the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet. Therefore, this mechanism is in line with the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Therefore, this mechanism is laws of the Republic of Turkey.Classical ballet is an artistic form of expression exhibited through the body, and a branch of art which necessitates certain physical fitness requirements. One of the main reasons leading ballet dancers to terminate their active dance lives is the biological ?age? factor. Economic, bureaucratic and psychological factors, injuries, problems related to educational and cultural inadequacies can also be causes of terminating their active dance lives. The needs of ballet dancers and their career development and progress can be met by resorting to ?continuous education? tools.Due to the idealized art policy during the period of institutionalization of the art of ballet in Turkey; the upbringing of Turkish choreographers and the creation of the national identity of Turkish ballet could not be realized. In the regulations of Turkish Ministry of Culture, State Opera and Ballet; a special arrangement regarding the aftermath of the active dance life of ballet artists is missing. Ballet artists are able to go abroad via article 16/a of Law No. 1309 on the establishment of the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet; with the aim of improving their general knowledge and experience. However, the 50 age limit and the foreign language document requirement for applications appear as barriers rather than problem-solving alternatives.As a result of all research conducted for this study, the
