Rural development in Turkey and analysis of Expert Hands Project in rural development

In this study, it is aimed to analysis the Expert Hands Project in Rural Development from the perspective of the beneficiaries of the project and the personnel involved in the project considering the purpose and scope of rural development and rural development activities in Turkey. Since the target group of the project is educated young people, initially, the compatibility of these entrepreneurs and the target group, whether the activities are in scope of the project and positive-negative situations within the lifecycle of the project is presented. In this scope, 4 pilot cities Amasya, Düzce, İzmir, Mardin are determined as area of research where the project is applied. The main attributes of the research is the entrepreneurs who entitled to receive a grant and 99 questionnaire results for the personnel who participated in this project. By the help of the demographical questions to the participants, target group was researched firstly. In the second place, the compatibility of the project to the scope was studied and the relevant & unrelevant points were determined which provides advice for future projects within the nation-wide. Lastly, lifecycle of the project was probed, solutions were provided for the ascertained problems and the positive applications were distinguished. All in all, it is concluded that the project is beneficial and successful. It is deduced that, application of the project going to be enhanced with the advices in 81 cities will contribute to rural development, unemployment problem, rural population increase and qualified agricultural production.
