With globalizing world integration movements have gained momentum. The countries of the world are aiming to gain advantages in terms of competition by integrating them and to be more socially and politically strong. Among the integrations established in the last century, the most important one is the European Union. The basis of relations between Turkey and the EU have been based on the 1957. Turkey's application for full membership to the EU on 14 April 1987 has not been finalised and relations continue under the customs union, which came into force on 1 January 1996. In this study, Turkey's foreign trade figures before and after the customs union were examined and compared with the EU member states. At the same time, the performance of the logistics sector in Turkey after the customs union was examined in the light of the data and compared with the 4 countries that are candidates to the EU, with the same status as Turkey and the 28 countries that are members of the European Union. As a result of the comparison; Looking at the logistics performance index published for the first time in 2007 the World Bank ranked 30th in the overall standings is located in Turkey. Index released as a result of declining order a second time in 2010, 39 in Turkey, ongoing for years has improved logistics performance criteria and decisive 6 jumping 12 places in 2012 has risen to 27 as well.
