Abstract (EN)
Today, education plays a critical role in the evolution of societies and the unlocking of individuals' potential. Education systems are the fundamental elements that shape the future leaders, thinkers and workforce of countries. In this context, comparing the science curriculum of Turkiye and Finland is of great importance in order to understand the effectiveness of the education systems of both countries and their potential effects on student success. The research aims to determine the similarities and differences between the educational approaches of these two countries by examining the primary and secondary school science curriculum of Turkiye and Finland in detail. The basic question is, "Are there similarities and differences between the science curriculum in Turkiye and Finland?" appears as. In the study, the document analysis method, one of the qualitative research types, was used, Türkiye 2018 science curriculum and Finland 2011 science curriculum were examined comparatively. The data obtained was subjected to a detailed analysis in the context of both countries' educational approaches, program structures, objectives, contents, educational situations and measurement-evaluation approaches. This summary focuses on this comprehensive comparison to understand the important similarities and differences between Turkiye and Finland's science education programs.
