Prof. Dr. Erdoğan KOT LAugust, 177 PagesAccess to energy is fundamental to the economical lives of every countries.In this respect, sustainable, cheap and secure energy is very important. Turkey isalso affected threats to the security of energy supply, higher prices and climatechange. However, Turkey and The European Union are essential strategic partnersto tackling to shared problems.In this study, the position of Turkish and European Union Energy sectors isinvestigated. In the first chapter, the Turkish Energy Sector is analyzed alldimension for the period of 1963-2005. In the second chapter, the position of energysector in inter-sector reletions is explained via input-out put tables. In the thirdchapter, the Energy Sector in European Union is deeply investigated for the period of1990-2005. In the fourth chapter, the electricty demand projection of Turkey is madeby Grey Model GM (1,1) and GM (1,N). However, former prediction model isimproved via Fourier Series.Keywords: Energy, European Union, Grey Model, Fourier.
