Analysis context of energy geopolitical of Turkey's Cyprus policy

The Cyprus problem, which came to the international agenda in the 1950s, has been shaped by many historical developments that have been experienced since this period and has continued its unsolvability until today. After the establishment of the TRNC in 1983, two administrations emerged on the island, and after this development, the negotiations for the unification of two different administrations under a single roof have continued until today. The Cyprus problem has reached different dimensions with the discovery of natural gas in the high seas. The discovery of hydrocarbon reserves, which concerns many stakeholders in the region, makes the problem even more complex. These developments have an impact on regional politics, economy and geopolitics. The discovery of hydrocarbons, which articulated on the Cyprus problem, has escalated the problems in the region and creates an unstable maritime security because of the treaties, which ignore Turkey, carried out by the Greek Cypriot Administration with Egypt and Israel. In this context, "How Turkey is looking at to Energy Geopolitics competition on its Cyprus policy?" and "How Turkey is approaching this competition?" questions have become important to answer.
