Abstract (EN)
Morphological and palinological research of Smyrnium L. (Umbelliferae) which is represented six species in Turkey were studied. The descriptions of the species have beeen expanded. The distribution of species in Turkish Flora have been added. The drawings and herbarium photographs of species samples have been firstly presented via this study. The pollen grains and mericarps belonging to species samples have been taken photographs via scanninig electron microscope (SEM). In addition, the numerical values of pollen were obtained using preparations which prepared with Wodehouse method via light microscope(L.M). Mericarps between darkbrown to black colour, reniform and sizes show vary. Dorsal shapes are convex, surface ornemantation types; S.olusatrum L. tuberculate-foveate, S.pefoliatum L. ruminate, S.rotundifolium Miller striate, S.cordifolium Boiss. tuberculate-foveate, S.connatum Boiss. & Kotschy tuberculate-rugose and S.creticum Miller tuberculate-rugose. Pollens are similar in terms of size and ornemantation. Pollen grains are remarkably uniform in six species. Pollen grains of Smyrnium taxa are generally tricolporate, shape of the grains prolate. Tectum is uniformly rugulate. P/E ratio ranges from 1.38 to 1.49.
