Throughout history, education has been one of the most important elements and components of life that people and societies should have in order to achieve better living conditions. The issue of education whose importance has been increasing without any hesitation has been shaped by series of education policies from Ottoman Empire to Turkish republic, even today. This thesis documents the education and training that are conducted at Hasanoğlan Village Institute and Hasanoğlan High Village Institute with the photographs that were previously not get out of the institutes, by focusing on the village institutes that emerged as a result of the education policy in Turkey. The mentioned training activities have been discussed in the interviews with Hasanoğlan Village Institute, Hasanoğlan High Village Institute and the following school graduates and the findings from the interviews attained by oral history technique contributes to the literature. As a result, the photographs and the interview texts that are the findings of the thesis study are compiled in a way that contributes to writing alternative history and the photographs that have the characteristic of visual documentaries are brought in Turkey's collective memory.
