Abstract (EN)
The subject of this study is struggle history of the teachers? organizations which were founded between the years 1960-1980 and abolished at the same period. Teachers? organisations in that period were separated and presented according to their objectives and arguments. However it faced some obstacles,the struggle for becoming organised, which means the act of teachers who want to be leader in the societies developments creating a better life,better country and better world ,continued from 1908.In Turkey, Not only this struggle has nearly a-120-year-past but also 1965,the first unionization experienced, is animportant starting point. Dozens of Teachers? associations were set up in the following years but shortly after than that all teachers? syndicates wereannulled in 1971.Then, some political groupings were observed in these organizations which were established as teachers? associations .However these organizations were closed after 1980,they were reopened in 1990s. This struggle has continued until today.In this study, firstly The National Federation of Turkish Teachers?Organizations is discussed. Despite it accommodated some of bureaucrats ofthat time and was blamed for passiveness, the presence of the teachers from the Village Institutes and these teachers? becoming together and their attempt tostart syndicalism activitities is important.Later, Teachers? Organizations of Turkey getting the thousands of the teachers into its structure, its participating all of the teachers,no matter they were a member or not,and its attending the activities to raise public awarenessviiis discussed. Fakir Baykurt comes into prominence when TOT is mentioned. Heplays an important role in the development of TOT.The establishment, field of activity and publications of Ass occupation ofall Teachers? Alliance and Solidarity (ATAS), which was constructed later, isthe subject of the other chapter. ATAS was struck by the arena of political conflict in the country. Following the 1980 military coup, the association was adjudicated and shut down and dozens of directors with members weresentenced to prison in various periods. The properties of ATAS were assigned to treasury. In the final section, trade unions, the organizations and activities ofother unions and associations were included. These unions and associations which took part in this part could not denote any assets and efficiency.While examining the political, social and economical events of between1960 and 1980 in which the organizations of teachers are the most effective, the causes and consequences of, the questions and the answers of what the responsibilities are whether it acted in accordance with their aims were searched.
