Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research is to evaluate the thesis about drama-based English teaching in pre, primary and secondary schools in Turkey. The research is in the qualitative research model. Research data were obtained by using descriptive analysis method. The data, 23 graduate thesis, were downloaded from the website of YÖK Thesis Center written on Drama-based English teaching in schools between the years 2008-2018. In the study, the thesis written about drama-based English teaching were evaluated according to years, schools, sample group, method, distribution of research methods according to years, universities and institutions where the master thesis were conducted, drama techniques used and suitability of the drama session analysis (construction). It was identified that only 2 of the thesis were suitable for drama session analysis. In 21 theses, it is concluded that there are no components of dramatic fiction in the animation stage and that it is not made according to the drama method and stages. Drama Curriculum should be prepared with the opinions of the experts working in the field of creative drama directly from the universities or from the non-governmental organizations that determine their purpose for the development of the creative drama field, the drama field experts and drama teachers who are obliged to be present in the program development commissions. Every teacher who wishes to work in the field of drama should also directly benefit from this program and prepare the lesson plan.
