Abstract (EN)

The economic and social impacts of tourism, with growing the tourism sector, has been caused a special interest for many countries. When the assistance of economic impacts to national economy is taken into consideration, it has been seen that many conveniences are especially provided for provided for the supporting of tourism sector. The creation of incitements and expanding possibilities in Turkish tourism sector after 1980 obtained a rapid growth in industrial sectors as well. It had positively influence in meeting the deficit of balance of payments, increase of national income and state income. The improvement of tourism sector in the Planned Period in Turkey especially showed a rapid growth after making the law code No. 2634. These improvements of sector is not internal. The value-added and the multiplier effect of tourism expand the national income. Therefore other sectors and whole economy is positively effected and enliven. The result of input-output analysis shows that Turkish tourism sector takes its inputs from 38 different sectors and has a high level of "backward connection coefficient". Namely, the growing of tourism sector enlivens the other sectors providing inputs. It is been seen that it should be considered tourism sector important for refreshing the national economies of developing countries.
