As an alternative broadcasti̇ng type in Turkey thematic radio broadcasting

Radio is still remaining its important position among the mass media means and it is gaining a different dimension with the developing technologies.Thematic Broadcasting shows up as a new type along side of the traditional radio broadcasting as a result of the increasing number of channels and digitalization.Thematic radio Broadcasting is described as abroadcasting type which targets a homogeneous crowd of people who are specialised an at least one or more subject and have common likes. in ths study, 7 thematic radios are chosen as samples which are going on their broadcasting life in February, 2017 and they are analysed as a broadcasting alternative in turkey by the help of deep interviews. The aim of the study is providing information about the profiles and operations of thematic radios and determining what are taken into consideration while creating the contents. Furthermore, determining the situation of arrent radio broadcasting and predicting the future of it is among the other aims of this study. According to the datas obtaihed at the end of this study, it seems that thematic broadcasting understanding is becoming widespread depending on the developing technology and digitalization and it is considered that the future broadcasting understanding will be thematic.
