Analysis of the persons who take service from the guidance and research centers in turkey and an application in istanbul

The purpose of this research is to determine the persons who take services from the Guidance and Research Centers and the recognition levels of the Guidance and Research Centers. The general scanning model is used in the research. The working universe of the research is formed by the participants who visit the Training Days 2007 fair which is organized between the dates 24-28th April 2007 in Istanbul World Trade Center. The survey form and interviews are used as a data collection tool in the research. It is benefited from the percentage, frequency distribution and arithmetic mean techniques for the analysis of the data. The research is composed of 2 chapters. It is tried to explain to what extent the Guidance and Research Centers are recognized by the individuals who take or may take services, how the service areas and functions are perceived and to what extents they are known by means of taking into consideration the place of the Guidance and Research Centers in the Turkish Education System and the structure and fundamental characteristics of the Guidance and Psychological Consultancy area. It is considered that the analysis of the knowledge and opinions of the individuals who take services from the Guidance and Research Centers is necessary in terms of providing better services and reaching more number of individuals who are in need of such services.KEYWORDS; Guidance and Research Center, Guidance and Psychological Consultancy, awareness level of the Service areas, analysis of the Service areas.
