Abstract (EN)

Foreign direct investments have become an important factor for countries' economic growth and development in today's world. In proportion to this, Turkey has become an attractive market for foreign direct investments. However, political instability, high inflation and interest rates, currency fluctuations and other risk factors in the country affect foreign investors' decisions in the short and long term. Therefore, the analysis of factors and risk indicators that affect foreign direct investments and the development of risk management strategies allow investors to understand the factors that affect their investment decisions and to develop effective risk management strategies. The purpose of this master's thesis is to examine the factors and management of risk that affect foreign direct investments in Turkey. The thesis will address the role of foreign direct investments in the Turkish economy, risk factors for investors, the impact of CDS and EMBI data on investments, risk management strategies, and policy recommendations for foreign direct investments. This thesis presents an analysis of the factors and risk indicators that affect foreign direct investments in Turkey, and aims to help investors understand the factors that affect their investment decisions and develop effective risk management strategies.
